The HP DesignJet 450C A1 printer takes 2 types of colour cartridges. The difference is the number of pages the cartridge can print and the prices. The HP 40's (51640#) are a better value for your printer as it does approx 1,600 pages each compared to the HP 44's (51644#) which does approx 1,500 pages each.
