During Covid-19, we have experienced many hardships, one of them being working remote and needing paper to print with. These issues are essential and for it to be successful, you need a good functioning printer. According to reviews, the best printer to use is the Canon PIXMA TR8550. Nowadays many printers include Bluetooth and touchscreen, but this printer includes both and Wi-Fi connectivity and includes five Ink cartridges to enhance the quality of the printing. ‘Canon’ best known for their cameras also made sure to include an SD card Input. This printer also has cloud printing, so if you own any apple devices, then you can print directly from social media such as Twitter or Facebook or even use Dropbox. It also supports Hi-Speed USB and Ethernet. This is perfect for those who have worked or are working remotely from home and need fast ways to print. If you are trying to print on DVDs or CD is than this printer can offer printing on both.

Canon’s are one of the best in the technology industry but are they better than HP?

Graphically, HP produced better quality Inkjet and Laser printers than Canon. In terms of copying and scanning, the HP printers are the best for this as they produce detailed transitions that are more apparent on plain paper than the Canon printers are. The Canon printers produce more rougher copies but they produce copies that are more detailed. Both printers produce on Glossy Photo Prints. However, if you are after more natural looking prints than I recommend going with Canon. Canon produce quality and speed with their printers. They are more reliable and less expensive than HP printers are. HP printers are also harder to use than Canon and less clear.

Wireless Printer Sales Increase

Wireless AIO’s Sales Increase

It’s been reported by CONTEXT, that in 2012 sales increased by a substantial 9% for wireless all-in-one printers. The strange fact is that sales increased only in Western European countries including United Kingdom, Netherlands, Spain, Italy,

France and Germany. However, the overall sales of wireless all-in-ones has declined by 14 percent. Looking at these statistics it is safe to say that Western Europeans prefer the idea of less clutter in the office and the ability to move the printer easily whenever necessary. Meanwhile, the rest of the world is satisfied with the old-school printing devices and are not bothered. While the advantages of owning a wireless printing device are obvious, when reading through some printer reviews, I discovered that quite a few people have been struggling to connect their wireless printers to their computers.

Market Shares – HP Still on Top

HP has seen a 10% decline for inkjet printers in the market share and fell below the 50% mark. However, HP remains by far the main leader. Epson and Canon have 25 and 10 percent market shares respectively and have closed the gap slightly between the HP.

This is what Senior Research Analyst Matthew Fuller of CONTEXT had to say about it.

“The report highlights demand of wireless AIOs across homes and small offices due to the flexibility of where printers can be placed while also allowing multiple devices to connect without the need for unruly cables”

Dog fed by HP Printer

I know what you are thinking. What? How? Well, read on to find out.

One morning, Nat Morris, an IT consultant woke up and said, while I’m working, I can’t feed my dog Toby. What should I do? I know what! I shall create a device, that does it for me! Mr Morris decided to use his IT skills and knowledge wisely to create and implement a dog feeding device, in addition, powered by HP printer motor.

How does HP printer feed Toby?

This is the amazing part of the whole device. The HP printer dog feeding device (or whatever you want to call it) is triggered by a social network application Twitter. Once Mr Morris decides to feed Toby, he sends a tweet, the sound alerts Toby that the goodies are about to be released. Then, the food goes down the pipe and is served into Toby’s bowl and vuala. To top the brilliant device off, there is also a CCTV camera attached to it allowing Mr Morris to witness his dog dining.

After successfully creating the device that most of the dog-owners can only dream about, this is what Nat Morris had to say:

“Toby absolutely loves it. At first, he didn’t know what was going on. Now he sits underneath, wagging his tail waiting for the treats to drop. People have been sending him food at all hours of the day, so I had to limit it to between nine in morning and nine in the evening.”
