Erasable Toshiba Printer

It is always good to see when big companies invent something new, not just to make profits. Toshiba has delivered what their slogan says and invented a printer with the environment in mind. It seems that the new device, an erasable printer, will save resources and money for the rest of us too.

The Erasable Printer

Printing on both sides of the paper could be a thing of the past, due to the new printer from Toshiba that erases toner. This printing system consists of two devices.  One device that prints, the other one – erases. It has a specially designed toner, that allows the eraser device to remove any text by applying heat to it. The clever device is also able to detect the amount of times the paper has been erased and separates usable and unusable paper automatically.

Not a miracle yet

The erasable toner printer does not erase the toner completely, previous characters are visible if the paper is set at certain angle to the light. Also,it can only erase up to five sheets of paper. However, this is definitely a great invention for the future which will save lots of paper for businesses and consumers alike.

Toshiba will be selling it abroad under another name in May but the eco-friendly printer is due to come out in Japan this month and it will cost a staggering £11,000.  The brilliant printer clearly will not be affordable to all of us and until then, we have to stick with non-erasable Toshiba Toner Cartridges at very competitive prices at InkNTonerUK.
