Konica Minolta has started delivering some of its products to customers in various Indian cities as part of the Go-Green strategy. This intiative deepens the company’s commitment to a cleaner environment by decreasing pollution levels – especially in India, one of the most polluted countries on earth.

Electric Vehicle drivers can take only small machines for now, weighing under 100kg. The company make us of 2-wheeler and 3-wheeler vehicles to complete the deliveries. It’s a practical way to move around the cities around the country, as they are no stranger to traffic jams, many people and lots of vehicles without much space to move around.

A really supportive part of this initiative was the positive response of customers to the innovative strategies. Konica Minolta’s Managing Director, Katsuhisa Asari, has said himself that the company is “grateful for our customers’ positive response to our transition to eco-friendly transport, which has facilitated a smooth and efficient switch.”

Furthermore, the electric vehicles operate on rechargeable battery-based engines, which emit no toxic emissions, protecting the environment and public health! It also reduces costs for the Japanese company, as the environmentally friendly vehicles require less maintenance than traditional, fuel-based vehicles.

Konica Minolta has set a long-term environmental goal to reduce carbon emissions by 60% by 2030 and 80% by 2050. The firm also has a program to collect MFP’s and printers from customers in order to recycle them.
