Featured

From 1st October 2023, the new EU draft law – the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) – will enter into force with a 3 year transition period following, during which only reporting obligations will apply.

CBAM Effects

The CBAM is one of several tax and carbon price reforms proposed as part of the EU’s Green Deal. CBAM’s goal is to combat climate change by reducing greenhouse gases by minimum 55% by 2030 and protecting jobs. Things like, for example, plastics, hydrogen, organic chemicals, including printing products like ink cartridges, fall into the list of products that CBAM encompasses. Other products also include, fertilisers, aluminium, cement, electricity, iron etc.

Carbon Reliant Industries affected by EU CBAM Tax

What does this mean for carbon-reliant industries? Most notably, effects on environment and “carbon leakage” will decrease significantly and be a step towards achieving EU climate goals. EU citizens will have the opportunity to purchase products from a market that is open to environmentally friendly resources! Businesses that focus and invest more into their environmental impact will surely benefit from CBAM, since importing into EU countries will be easier. CBAM will also encourage producers in non-EU countries to green their production processes.

Blase Day with InknTonerUK!

Featured

Today, a strange event is taking place. Many people around the world are celebrating Blase Day, an annual event. How?

Blase Day releases negative emotions and opens up a door for people to feel displeasure with things they find unimpressive.

The name of this odd celebration originates from the French word ‘blase’. Someone described as ‘blase’ is difficult to impress and indifferent to things (usually because they have experienced them before. For example, they have already had many interesting and exciting life experiences). So a ‘blase’ person is difficult to impress and harder to please. The French word has been used to name this day because of the ties it has to the French who can be identified as quite ‘blase’ at times, since they have a very rich culture and are no longer often impressed by artwork or other aspects of culture. This makes this day very suitable for people who adopt this distinct mindset.

The Day comes from the French word 'blase'.

Being blase does not mean someone is unenthusiastic or rude, but rather being less expressive with emotions and not as dramatic.

Celebrating Blase Day

Celebrate today by being blase yourself! Today, you don’t need to fake enthusiasm in things you have no interest in. It’s a perfect way to complain about things you find unimpressive.

Buying Inks from other marketplaces.

Featured

Before buying anything, we all like to try to branch out to other websites and marketplaces for a cheaper alternative. We also try to compare prices. However, just because things may appear cheaper doesn’t mean they are reliable to use. Many people, around the world very commonly use online marketplaces like eBay to buy what they need. Sometimes, buying second-hand items such as furniture can be a cheaper alternative. With furniture, things can be re-worked on so that they are made to look brand new. Others may find it suitable to buy second-hand clothes or even brand new clothes that are unwanted. All in which was once owned by someone else. However, this is not necessarily the same with things such as Ink Cartridges or Toner Cartridges.

The issue with buying any type of Ink/Toner from eBay or any marketplaces is that it can be incredibly unreliable. Trusting sellers to send Cartridges to you, especially if they’ve used images that aren’t theirs is one of many traps. Buying cartridges from eBay sellers can also ruin your printer and prints. These sellers can fill up cartridges with their own Ink and make you believe the product’s a ‘brand new’ item.

When you buy products like these, they tend to have a negative impact on print quality as well. Your print quality will not be as effective compared to if you were to buy products from our shop. Important thing to remember is that buying anything that is cheaper may disappoint. Many of the time people who buy from eBay have the same issue of the seller not responding to them if problems arise. As frustrating as it may be, buying an Ink Cartridge that is from a different market place like eBay and Facebook Marketplace can be dangerous and come with consequences. What I think is Important to know is that the seller’s or certain vendors do not offer any warranties on the items. It can also be a hassle to be opening up disputes and constantly have to follow it up.

Comparison of Graph

As you can see from this graph, if you buy Ink refills or Cartridges from eBay, than you are more prone to poor quality prints in comparison to the Genuine Originals you buy from a reliable website like our website Ink n Toner UK. Yes, there is a price difference; however, you are paying for reliability and quality prints. Alternatively, if you do not want to pay the price for the Originals, you can opt for the Compatibles, which are much cheaper but come with just as good quality prints. If you are not sure on what the best cartridge to get for your printer, you can always try to speak to our customer service team on our website via Live Chat.
